Wow ManidipaM, those are some great ideas! I'm going to have to write all these ideas everyone is giving me down so I don't forget them.

To answer your question - I have a metallic grey somewhat structured medium sized handbag that I use during the week. It seems to go with most of my outfits. Unfortunately, I've had it for several years now and it seems to be losing some of its shape. It may be time to start looking for a new one.

On the weekends, I switch to a smaller grey metallic or cognac brown bag that can be worn cross-body. I like the smaller cross-body on the weekends since I need both hands to corral my two rowdy boys.

Sara, I had the same thought as Claire as soon as I saw the thumbnails! This is a brilliant capsule you have here. You could...
- switch the beige blazer to any and all of the other outfits
- use the grey cardi or black jacket with the maxi
- wear the Missoni top with the pink pants and black jacket
- wear the white top with the pink pants and beige jacket
- wear the Missoni over the maxi for a mock two-piece ensemble
- put the purple top over the maxi (unless the sleeves fight?)
- wear the beige blazer over either skirt & top pair
- add the grey cardi to the Missoni and white
- use the purple top with the white skirt
This is effortless 'encapsulation' at its best. Also, isn't black&white, especially in tribal prints, all the rage. You're SO on-trend. AND all the shoes (no frump in sight!) work with all of these too, I suspect! Please tell me you also have the perfect all-in-one bag to match and make my day?

Meanwhile, boy, do You Look FAB!

I like all these looks but I like high contrast so my fav look is number 2 and the kicker for me is that he skirt & jacket are thrifted - wow.

clearlyclaire - These are great ideas! I never thought of these outfits as so interchangeable. The pattern mixing with the shirt in #5 and the skirt in #2 is brilliant. I would never have thought of it. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to wear it yet though. I never thought of putting together a monotone outfit with the white tank and skirt either. I'm definitely going to try that idea soon.

CocoLion - I have a white shirt that will work with the maxi dress but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. The weather hasn't been super cooperative - it's either too cold or too warm.

Kellygirl - I'll have to keep my eye open for a bright pencil skirt - right now I have a black, a dark denim, and a grey patterned one.

These are some great items and you could even mix and match some of them. I'm not sure why I'm thinking this, but you could go for some crazy pattern mixing and mix the skirt in 2 with the Missoni top. You could wear the white top with the white skirt for a "fake a dress look". Add colored topper or grey cardi to taste. I love the tonal look of outfit number one, and that pink top would look great with skirt #2 or the white skirt. Missoni top could go under black blazer and be worn with pink pants, too! I want to roll and scrunch the blazer sleeves.I like CocoLion's idea of tying a white shirt with the maxi dress. This is a great capsule! FWIW, I prefer the shoes in 2 to the ones in 5. You had a great week!

CocoLion - yes, the shirt in #5 is Missoni for Target. I ordered it online the day it was available and it took almost 4 months to arrive. What a mess!

You are stunning in that MAxi dress! Wow

I loved that zigzag top at the end. I don't think the shoes look frumpy at all! Right in style!

Great outfits. I love the polish of 2/3 and am quite surprised at how much I love the maxi with the blazer. Fun marriage of Ikat and preppy. It looks really fun to me : ) Love the Missoni top--I almost think it would look better with a less casual skirt though--pencil skirt in a bright or solid neutral. Pink pants are fun--I love that faded color. The style looks great on you! You look fab!

I like them all Sara! Those pink-ish pants look fairly neutral so I can see why they are so wearable. #2/3 is elegant and work appropriate (I'm assuming you wore that outfit to work). I love your printed maxi dress! Have you worn it with a white button down shirt, tied at waist? It's a cool way to skirt-ify a dress. And in #5 is that a Missoni for Target top? I have pants and a blouse that look like that. I loved the Target line and wished I had bought more items, however, most everything was sold out by the time I got to the store.

Here's a few outfits from the last couple weeks. I seem to be wearing a lot of black and white lately.

#1 - I thrifted these pink pants recently and I'm amazed at how many outfits I can create with them. They're turning out to be more versatile than I thought.

#2/3 - thrifted skirt and jacket. It warmed up and I took the jacket off eventually. My shoes are dark purple but that's a little hard to tell.

#4 - My husband is a terrible photographer sometimes. Why doesn't he ever tell me to straighten out my jacket or move my hair? Anyway...I love this dress, something else I've put together more outfits with than I thought I could.

#5 - I like the shirt and skirt together but I'm not sure about the shoes. I bought them thinking they were sort of edgy (or as edgy as I get) but now I'm wondering if I was delusional and they're just frumpy. What do you guys think?

Thanks for looking and any comments or suggestions are welcome!
