Of course DH does all the cooking. I only cook weekday meals, eggs and other boring and reliable stuff. DH is the foodie, I am the clean up crew. We have been hosting seder for at least 10 years. Our friends that now live in Berlin usually come, as well as two other families. We have known each other since our kids were babies - the oldest are now applying for university!<br />Dana - Thank you! I prefer the structure and support vs. ones that are totally flat and flexible.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm kind of a t-shirt gal. Button up wovens and many other woven tops aren't as comfortable for me. Sometimes I'll wear a t under a blazer with jeans. Otherwise, it's a weekend type outfit with jeans or shorts. I'm working on finding more polished knits for dressy and casual.&nbsp;</p> <p>A brand of t's I love is Splendid. Seder dinner included soup, brisket, chicken, asparagus, potatoes, string beans and this is on top of the appetizers during the first part of the evening and the ceremonial "sandwiches" that start the meal. To say nothing of the required glasses of wine! Kind of crazy and fortunately we only do it once in Israel.<br />Jane - Thank You! Passover seder is actually centered around reading a book of different texts relating to the holiday, interspersed with many ceremonial foods and glasses of wine. Both lack a certain element of structure that you typically have in outfits and partly it *is* the footwear. Ballet shoes can feel not just "flat" but almost "melty" -- or at least that's how they feel to me. So that is one element. And tees are hard! I wish I had a better picture of my outfit, especially the boots, which have Zebra tops. DD1 is the only DD that let me keep her in the picture.<br />I have recently collected two pair of ballet shoes that I have been playing with.<br />#3 A very hot day. Stuart Weitzman leopard ballet shoes, with Ronen Chen top, very old shorts, Marni bag. I was generally pleased with this outfit, especially as my husband photographed it with his special beautifying (aka blurring) camera feature.&nbsp;<br />#4 Lanvin pink ballet flats. (This was a shocking thrift find.) I am not completely pleased with this outfit, although I do like the bright t-shirt. I have been going through my closet trying to wear the things I like but never wear. This would have worked better with shorter less floppy pants - please make other suggestions.&nbsp;</p> <p>As I commented on Angie's finds blog post, I am playing with t-shirts to see if I can make them work for my style. Anyone else trying ballet flats or t-shirts lately? Any comment or suggestion most welcome!</p>
