I had my girls' hair cut in a neat bob to manage. They didn't grow longer hair until they started school. Sometimes they make fun of me for making them look "weird" then they were little. Second, they are working with expert photographers! She has bright, light blonde hair and she always wears a bright lip to balance the black. Or look at Angie. She rarely wears all-black, but she doesn't shy away from black, that's for sure.</p> <p>I actually like black on me, though technically I am not "supposed" to be able to wear it. Mind you, I don't like it in midwinter with no makeup. And I don't like a whole outfit of it (for me). Debs does that well, but I feel overpowered by it and deadened.&nbsp;</p> <p>There are flat blacks that seriously make me look ill and very tired. But a black with a certain richness can work, as long as I show some skin, or add a colour that flatters me a lot somewhere not far from my face, or wear my black specs for definition.&nbsp;</p> <p>I have cool-toned skin. That is why I "get away with it" even though black is technically too strong for me. Many of the combinations you have seen before, so please forgive me for repeats.</p> <p>My morning started out with a cranky toddler that did <b><i>not </i></b>want her hair combed (it got combed anyway), and then she pitched a fit when I loaded her in the van. I was not even allowed to give her a kiss. So, yes, I am a bit akimbo which my camera man did not notice&nbsp; ;)</p> <p>I chose my medallion skirt this morning with a black top and bookended it with black sandals. It is supposed to be hot today, into the upper 80s with high humidity, so I wanted to be cool.</p> <p>I am amazed how often blond models are shown wearing black. Not sure how they pull it off! </p>
