Ooh :good article Laurie / thanks for posting ! Even though I hate the idea of ordering clothes from Amazon...at some point what you can afford and the access you have at b&m comes into play .

These do look similar, and they look great on you. Thanks for modeling these nice items!

I've been sucked onto the Lulu bandwagon of late (my yoga instructor is a store ambassador and she gets me discounts occasionally). I'm 100% on brand at this very moment, in fact. The quality is hard to beat, but I've also had good luck with less expensive items over time. I have a few pairs of 90 Degree tights that are great.

Researching, found this on topic of inexpensive yoga pants: https://nymag.com/strategist/a.....women.html

Thanks all!

Robin, I would say it's stretchy but still structured enough to feel like pants, if that makes sense ... they are stretchier than they look, let's say.

crst, no fuzz issues here ... mind you I don't have pets ... but they don't seem to be one of those fabrics that particularly clings to fluff.

suntiger, definitely opaque, and definitely dressy enough to be casual-but-not-gear pants ... today I am wearing them with one of my BR merino knits and will wear my Blondo ankle booties for the grocery run ... granted they would look cooler with white sneakers but I am with you, I don't do seasonal confusion when it's frostbite temps out! (today's outfit in Finds). I think the contrast of the burgundy boots will look better than black would, but black would work too.

Those look great! I have been looking for something just like that, mid-weight, straight leg. So many are super baggy in the leg if I get the waist to be comfy. How is the elastic? Is it stiff or pretty stretchy?

Thanks Helena! I'm glad they come in different lengths so may try them in the 30s. Is the fabric dressy enough for normal casual wear, and are they fully opaque? I love Runcarlas but would want them full length too! Saw a lot of bare ankles yesterday at Trader Joes, with temps about freezing and wind- I just don't get it...
I've been wearing these at home, but wouldn't to go into town.

BTW, I see you have added your first name in. If you ever end up dropping the “Torontogirl” part, please put Toronto into your profile rather than GTHA or whatever it is for those of us who have no idea what that is? Even I know where Toronto is. ( I have once been through the airport is all! Otherwise I have been only in Western Canada since our relatives live in Saskatoon).

Nemosmom, yep - I'd say ideal for spring temps!

Lisa, I don't have the Lululs, could never bring myself to pay for them, so I am going just from my visual in the store, and outfit posts of the Lulus online. I am finding them a comfortable house temp, but if I go for a long walk, I'll stick my HeatTech leggings underneath. I'd call them
mid-weight.

I’d be interested to see them side by side with the Lulu version for comparison - just out of curiosity . But Carla’s right , the style has become ubiquitous now . I actually rarely- ok, never - wear any of mine in the winter as I find them a little chilly on their own .

Yes, I agree Carla! I love these ones ... the ones I looked at a Reitmans were a little thin (the black ones), but I'll keep an eye as these things change season to season. I think these ones were a little heavier in fabric, weren't they?

Hi friends, I mentioned that I had ordered a pair of dupes for Lululemon's On The Fly pants off Amazon (also called On the Fly, suspiciously).

Well, I love them. They fit well, are super comfy, have a decent weight to the fabric (although I wouldn't call them thick), and I think look pretty much like their Lulu twins, at less than half the price. I think they will pair as nicely with my merino knits as they do with a cotton t-shirt, making them very versatile. The leg is slim but not skinny, and they don't puff out too much at the hip.

Here I have them stylishly paired with fuzzy house slippers But I think the ideal styling would be with white sneakers, like in the Find photo. I have turned up the hems a little as I would like them slightly more cropped, but I don't want to hem them as the length will make them more wearable for winter.

I do think for a walk outside in winter, they will need tights underneath to be warm enough.

Anyways, a good option to consider for those who don't want to pay Lulu prices for this style of pant. Here's the link as it's hard to get the details in the photo with a black pant.
