Thanks, Nadya! Yes, the WWII episodes are our favorites too! Plus they have a little more fun with it, such as having the Nazis be very sarcastic with each other, and making the Amazon queen a bit head-in-the-clouds. Imagine a comic teaching us something about how to be great women! Thanks for your feedback.

Love the story! I was a huge fan of the show and the WWII episodes were the best. I love how you've interpreted the look into a modern outfit.

Thanks, Victoria! And thanks for the link. That should work to mix things up. I'm interested in trying as many scarf looks as possible. Loved your wrist scarf today, super fab!

I think the outfit looks great! By the way, if you feel that scarf is too bulky tied under the collar, try to tie it inside the collar

Thanks, Rae! I am flattered because I admire your style so much!

Maybe the equestrian scarf gave me a bit o' the military, or at least regimented feel.

Ah, I love it! Go femininspiration! I am impressed that you captured the vibe without the full on military jacket look. The new skirt looks great, too.

Thanks, Sarah. It's a handkerchief-weight blouse, which sometimes looks terrible without a bra, and untucked, which is how I usually wear it. I guess I have to fall in love with it now that I've figured out how to wear it well. ha ha on me

Lyn D - your reply boosted me right to the moon! My pattern mixing was scary at first but I embraced it and now I'm glad I did. Wow, sex_bomb? That comment is kindness itself, and warms my heart. THANK YOU!

JJ- great pattern mixing with the scarf and blouse!
AND a SEX_BOMB skirt to boot! You will get lots of wear from this black skirt, and I love the way you have tucked the top for a FAB silhouette!

My husband and I were watching Wonder Woman, Season 1, and she was looking crisp and cute in her WWII US Navy Waves uniform. He said, "you should try to come up with an outfit like that" Great inspiration!

That night I laid in bed planning it out in my head. I drifted to sleep with dreams of a pencil skirt in a dark color, preferably in a mid-weight that could camouflage my less than perfect hiny. But where would I find such a treasure?

I kid you not, the next day velvetychocolate posted about an Ellen Tracy pencil skirt at Costco ($12). I went, I shopped, I styled. I give you "Yeoman Diana Prince, circa 1942".

Shirt - Talbot's
Scarf - Vintage family thing from the 60s
Skirt - Ellen Tracy Ponte Knit from Costco ($12 yay!)
Shoes - Payless I believe
Bun Diddly - Of unknown provenance

What you can't see:
* The scarf actually sports dark navy and the skirt is black. Yikes!
* Bike shorts underneath for comfort
* Scarf is safety-pinned to my blouse, not tied around my neck cause it was too chunky under the collar.

Sorry, can't find a great pic of Lynda Carter / the uniform, sigh. Just take my word it's the bee's knees.

Thanks for looking, comments welcome! Enjoy your day you fabulous femmes!
