And the sleeves on the jacket turned up. </p> <p>As a matter of fact, the jacket looks more oversized IRL than in the photos - it might be that the camera angle or something that “improves” the proportions. In person, the shoulders are too wide and padded and they drop a little, IYKWIM, while the waist is a little fitted. This I think gives it a little edge and looks intentional. But maybe it is all in my head. Literally “borrowed from the boys”, or rather saving from DH’s holding zone/donation pile. I like the “masculine” and the bit oversized fit of the jacket. It is a part of an anthracite grey wool Boss suit. Here, I wear it with a white cotton button down shirt (Van Laack), snake patterned jeans (Gardeur) and cognac boots (Sergio Rossi). I added a large glass brooch and a little silk scarf to somewhat repeat the cognac colour in the boots. Cognac sunglasses. All items are old, some really old, but remixed in a new way. I also tried the combination without the jacket and only with the waistcoat - I then moved the brooch and pinned it there. I wore it to a quick trip to the post office… My outing today The outfit was otherwise too warm for WFH.</p> <p>The second outfit consists of the same men’s jacket, Worn with black knitted trousers (Escada), black/gold patterned boots (Hammerstein) and a beige cotton hoodie. All old items. I added three old brooches (thrifted). Gold/brown sunnies.<br /> This I didn’t wear.</p> <p>What do you think of my new old jacket -waistcoat combo? </p>
