It's on the last hole, but when I wear skinny belts around my waist without some slouch, I look like a sack of potatoes. I'm just too high- and straight-waisted for it to work. I either have to slouch my skinny belts, or wear wider ones. And today I wanted fuchsia. I also like how the knot gives the belt a bit more presence, very subtly, and gives the colour a bit more punch.</p> <p>Kristin, I'm going to have to figure out how to wrap a scarf around or over that cowl for going out. That will just be under my coat, so it won't matter how it looks. I just like my neck to be cozy. I can't see any way of adding a scarf without adding clutter. I did want a bit of colour up higher, so I hauled out my fuchsia earrings to go with the fuchsia belt. I haven't worn these earrings in years, and I am wondering if they look timeless, vintage, or dated.</p> <p>I am also wondering about the footless tights. Do they work here? Would ordinary tights work better? In black or grey? Not doing the red tights with fuchsia, sorry.</p> <p>I didn't photograph it, but I am wearing my black knit jacket for warmth. Colour-wise, I do find that it provides a balance for the black legs.</p> <p>If I go out, I will be wearing my black riding boots with this. </p>
