It was Angie who told me to keep that striped dress. I had just tried it on to see how a jacket looked with something. </p> <p>bj, sadly, I can only wear most of my sandals outdoors right now! I’ve hurt my back (SI joint) and only those Naots plus some Vionic wedge flip flops are comfortable out in the pavement. I even bring Birkenstocks to work to change into! I’m recovering, but not sure how long it will be till this changes. My sandals are almost all “comfort” brands now, too. My office is pretty casual if you don’t have meetings outside of it, which I don’t. Bare arms don’t cause any lifted eyebrows. It’s only been recently that they’ve adjusted the a/c enough that I can go without a topper sometimes. </p> <p>Thanks, Jussie! The dress is just great. I love red and it had fell out of my wardrobe a little until this year. Overall, I am very pleased with my summer wardrobe, though I stilll get anxious that it’s too large. Summer clothes are a weakness of mine. However, the items are better fitting and a higher quality than in previous years, and I’ve reduced the proportion of the wardrobe dedicated to casual-only pieces.</p> <p>I do have some aspects of my look to work on, though. I need to work on my hair - it's been up a lot lately, which probably means I need a trim. I can't actually style it AT ALL, so it ends up in a messy ponytail most days when it's not down. I also need to work on adding makeup back to my routine, but it's been a long time since I've left time for that in the morning.</p> <p>1. Very casual look. That purple tank is a workhorse, and I can also put it into work outfits (with toppers).</p> <p>2. This is a more casual work look. The white cardi is new. White has become my new go-to summer neutral. It all started with my white jeans, so it’s Angie’s fault. </p> <p>3. One my my bosses loved this dress so much that she took a picture to send to someone we were having a phone meeting with. Boden strikes again. (Should have the shoulders taken up a smidge, but putting it off as I have another dress where the alteration is ever more urgent.)</p> <p>4. More casual with a new Out of Print tee</p> <p>5. All I can say about this dress is that when Angie’s right, she’s right. </p> <p>6. I love this dress too but it felt a bit casual for work. I may try a structured topper next time. </p> <p>7. My husband and I enjoying a scavenger hunt. </p> <p>8. Another work look with cropped linen pants. </p> <p>9. A look for meeting friends out at a bar on a very hot evening.</p>
