I liked wearing this outfit and it suited the weather and my day’s activities well. </p> <p>My therapy moment here: I always feel a bit more self-conscious about baring the legs at the beginning of the season and then get more emotionally comfortable with it — in fact, that transition seems to be happening already after one day of wearing this outfit out and about and feeling good in it. I don’t know why I feel the need to preempt what I believe other people will criticize about my appearance but it’s an ooooold habit that I’m working to end. Even as a teen, I was sensitive about my hips and legs, and I was all of 120 lbs. I have such mixed feelings about shorts. I like that they are cool in the summer temps, and they are casual. I like how easy they are, and I like how they *feel* when I’m wearing them. I don’t love how I *look* in them, but sometimes I just say f*** it and wear them anyway. That’s what I did today. </p> <p>I think I look better in lengths that either are a few inches above the knee, or a clam digger length that ends just below the knee, but those are not easy to find. These are comfortable and fit well. </p> <p>Deets: Jag denim Bermudas, Vince plaid top, Rag &amp; Bone sandals and Kurt Geiger bag with a guitar strap from Amazon. </p> <p>The top is a cream background rather than white, which is probably not as flattering on me as the white top and jacket in my last WIW, but again, I think it’s JFE. The plaid is a subtle grey-blue and brown. I like the loose and breezy wrap style and the length. </p> <p>I refuse to believe that you have to have fantastically beautiful legs to wear shorts. So here I am! :-D</p> <p>Worn today for a work-related meeting (very casual as meeting with another artist to review some files for printing), and grocery shopping. </p>
