I have lately tried to distinguish my loungewear from pajamas. It's all I wear in the house aside from pajamas, though - I hate having anything constructing on when I'm home. It's important to sleep in something else, though, due to cat dander, which I'm trying to keep out of my bed as much as possible.

I have the additional challenge that my home is too hot in the winter, as it's an old building with forced heat. I have no temperature control, especially in the bedroom (wrong type of radiator, so I can't even turn it off). I end up wearing tee shirts and tank tops from my summer wardrobe, as a result. I do have some warmer layers, but honestly I should purge a few since they're hardly needed unless I go outside.

I change into loungewear to save my 'real clothes' when I am at home. In colder months I wear fleece leggings, thermal top and fleece cardigan. When it is hot I wear linen drawstring pants and a T-shirt. For the months when it is not as cold or scorching hot I wear something by Lululemon and a T-shirt. I might add a hoodie.
The Boden pieces look nice. Boden seems to have great quality. Unfortunately, they would not work for my climate. It is extremely cold where I live (-23 C today and it will get colder).

I do not wear lounge wear, but I do have a couple pair of pull on pants and jackets to wear with them for days when I feel under the weather. Mine must have pockets, which eliminates lots of traditional loungewear. I bought what I have at the Rack. One set is grey cashmere...pants and loose cardigan. The pants don't have pockets so it has yet to be worn.

To answer your question, at home I usually wear jeans and some kind of top and a topper is planned in case I'm feeling chilled. I also wear earrings and often a necklace or scarf. I find jeans very comfortable. I have been wearing sweaters for tops as it is cold although knits are not my favorite.

I change as soon as I get home into lounge wear. Mine are a combo of yoga pants, sweatshirts, fleece pants, and long sleeve knit tops. Most of it can be mixed and matched. I don't wear a new set every day. Since I only wear them for a few hours each day, I re-wear the same set for several days in a row.

I live in loungewear. But it is often not worthy of display outside 5he house. I am starting to insist on pocket in the bottoms. Some of my more functional, comfy and attractive pieces are from Athleta. The lined Midown wide legs are the best! Not sure they are a current style, but all their lined pants are lovely. I keep my house cool So I always wear a long sleeve top and a zip front hoodie or sweater. Those items need an upgrade so I will be watching here for ideas.

thethe, your links didn't work for me--jjill estore not available in Europe, and the other required a login. What are you looking for, beyond recommendations already here? The brand I mentioned, Life is Good, has very casual dresses that I think could work as tunics for the school runs, as well as longer T-shirt dresses. All their things have a very high cotton content: https://www.lifeisgood.com/sal.....ress-48985 https://www.lifeisgood.com/women/dresses/ I haven't tried their pants, but the joggers look good. https://www.lifeisgood.com/sal.....nd-skirts/ Unfortunately, I don't see leggings on their site anymore :/

Like you, I change into loungewear as soon as I get home so that I don’t damage “real” clothes with cooking, cleaning, painting or cat interactions. I keep a limited palette of blue and gray, and all of it lives in one drawer together: sweatpants, a few leggings, tee shirts and sweatshirts. And fluffy socks. Lounge and pajamas have some overlap for me— if it’s daytime I’m more likely to be wearing jeans rather than leggings, but otherwise it’s all the same.
The stuff in this category mainly comes from Gap, Uniqlo, American Eagle. Pretty cheap but hard wearing.

Your loungewear looks very dressy compared to mine (as expected ;-)).

Windchime: I wear my hoodies to the gym to start off my workout because the gym is cold.

I like thin cotton-blend leggings for lounging. You can get them anywhere. The ones from Boden and Roots are good. I prefer the thin ones because they don’t pill and are inexpensive.

I like cotton/poly blend hoodies (again from Costco, Garage, American Eagle, Roots—they’re all good.) I find if they have too much polyester, they don’t feel nice and they pill. A 45/55 ratio of cotton to polyester seems to be a sweet spot.

I like Banana Republic 100% Pima cotton plain t-shirts. I use them as undershirts or on their own in the summer.

I got the dress, leggings, and hoodie this fall. Love them all. The dress is super-soft, fairly thick, cotton fabric. The hoodie is proportioned exactly right--drapes around me perfectly, without sloppy extra fabric getting in the way, and the sleeves are narrow enough that they never catch on anything or drag in water. It has pockets too Otherwise I wear Life is Good pjs, leggings, and cardigan, a few more pieces than shown here, all in the same orchid color. They're good quality, all cotton, and I'm not embarrassed to answer the door or get the mail. Love them too.

I wear loungewear a lot! I also use it to walk the dog, and sleep in. I have 3 pairs of cadet blue track pants, and 3 grey sweaters of different weights for this purpose. The different sweater weights cover me for year-round dog walks. All the pieces are the same colours so there’s no mixing and matching worries.
They’re by far my biggest workhorses.

Yes Anchie I live in loungewear when at home. I don't like to cook, clean, etc in my good clothes so I change out immediately. Here are the brands and amounts of each:

1. Anthropologie joggers - I could look up the brand for you if interested. I have three (black, olive, and salmon).
2. Pact leggings - I like the soft organic cotton and they wear really well, have washed them over and over again weekly for several years and still going strong with little pilling/fading. I now have eight sets, as I took advantage of a recent clearance sale and bought 4 more.
3. ON tank tops -- because they come in petites. I think I have about 7 or 8 of these as well. When it's bedtime, I swap the leggings for boxer shorts and sleep in tank+boxers. As I said, I run hot.
4. AE bralettes
5. Circle cardigan/wraps -- I have two Athleta Pranayama wraps and another similar from AE which is lighter weight
6. A variety of Jcrew vintage v and scoop neck tees, which I'll pair with the joggers when it's too warm for the wrap but too chilly to just wear a tank top.
7. I also have a couple of Lou & Grey fleece tunics, not sure they count as loungewear as I am apt to wear them out of the house with jeans on a casual day.

Note I do laundry about once a week. I like to change into a fresh set of loungewear each day.

I do not like to wear athletic gear as loungewear as I don't find that comfortable. I prefer cotton for breathability.

Summer loungewear is a bit different. If I'm not in tee+joggers then I'm wearing an ON maxi dress, the ones that have pilled and faded too much to wear out of the house.

I like your loungewear choices, Anchie!

I rarely wear loungewear, but that is probably because I often work evenings and put on pajamas when I get home.

I also tend to draw from some of the the same items for loungewear and for exercise, and I wonder if anyone else does that? Some of my workout clothes are suited only to that purpose, but the lines are blurrier with others of them.

i change when i get home as well, but for me its often into items that have been "downgraded" from my wardrobe. i tend to fair longsleeve tee shirts, old leggings and fleece tops....i did use a gift cerfiticate this year to treat myself to a fuzzy pullover, and i'm so glad i did, i'm amazed at how warm it is, i'm actually thinking of duplicating...and 2 years ago i traded in my fuzzy socks for these slippers and i'm so glad i did, these are way warmer and there is less laundry...

I tend not to change but have nice nighties which I wear with woolly jumpers. I might pull on a pair of jeans. I do remove jewellery though.

I think that good loungewear is nice to have, but using bleach and then the potential for accidents does worry me and so I wouldn't splurge.

I too always change into loungewear as soon as I get home from work. What I wear depends on the season. Right now I’m into loose knitted leggings (Gap) or sweatpants (Roots) and a cami (Nordstrom) with a hoodie over top (AE). I’m picky about fabric content preferring as much cotton as possible. I find synthetic fibres get staticky and wool is too warm and slightly itchy when I warm up. On my feet are Glerups.

In summer I choose woven PJ pants (Boden), a cami and a loose fitting tee. On my feet are Olukai flip flops (one pair only worn indoors) for a bit of arch support.

I don’t immediately change into loungewear in the morning (but think maybe I should on weekends!). During the work week I wear pjs with a robe over top (cotton flannel in winter and woven cotton in summer) until I get ready for work (45 mins to an hour).

I agree that my loungewear items are some of the hardest wearing in my closet. I’m always looking for replacements because I’m super picky about these items since I spend up to 40+ hours a week in them!

I too change into loungewear as soon as I walk in the door. Since I work from home most of the time, that’s a lot of loungewear. My favorite bottoms are all-cotton yoga pants, and for toppers, depending on the weather, I’ll wear a wool sweater/cardigan or a zip up sweatshirt over either short or long sleeves. Occasionally I’ll add a thin silk cami under everything for extra warmth. My job involves sitting at a computer and I find I am always chilly when I am not moving around.

Thanks Elizabeth. I am not familiar with the brand and had to look it up. Was little bit surprised by the prices. Are they really worth it? They don’t show the fabric contents, which is important to me. How is the sizing?
