I was ok without a scarf, because the turtleneck kind of has the same function - it could be a scarf tucked in to create a similar vibe.</p> <p>The outfit was a departure for me mainly because I seldom wear cotton button down shirts - almost always silky collarless or pussycat bow blouses or similar. And I have not worn a waistcoat or a knitted vest in 20 plus years :-)</p> <p>Next are the white shoes…. I struggle with these. Bought them enthusiastically a few years ago and didn’t wear them almost at all. Have tried with opaque socks, sheer black, nude, full length trousers, cropped trousers, dresses … They do not feel quite right.
