Sometimes I swap out my black purse for the summer, but that's about it. I like everything in its spot, so I can just reach in my purse and find things. And it's stocked with a bunch of things to protect me from my own absent-mindedness. If I start switching around, I will need precisely the things I didn't move. LOL! Call it my security blanket. But it was a wonderful idea.</p> <p>Caro, I do have some grey pants, but the fit has been a little bit awkward. They might work again in a few more pounds. If not, I will replace them, as grey is proving to be very versatile for me, and a pair of grey pants is now on my list of essentials. And I love your idea of grey jeans. I'm wearing it for the warmth right now, and hopefully by the time I go out later today, it will not be needed. Although I will probably have it and/or a scarf along to combat air conditioning. It looks less sloppy belted, of course, like I wore it the other day, but that's less practical for pulling off and on. And I really would love to have some metallic shoes in silver. I have my eyes open for ballet flats or something similar. After the budget recovers from the boots!</p> <p>Thanks everyone for confirming to me that this is a good colour combination. Much as I like wearing brights, it's nice to have a muted combination for a change of pace. I do like to mix things up. It takes us till mid-afternoon to reach summer temperatures now, it seems. So I'm trotting out the white capris for the last time.</p> <p>I had wanted to do a column of white with a bright yellow scarf, but I just wasn't feeling it today. So here is the alternative, with and without the slouchy grey cardigan, which has surprised me by becoming the queen of my casual toppers.</p> <p>I did do my hair and add some fairly discreet earrings after this photo, but I was in a bit of a rush to catch the morning light in my bedroom. By mid-morning it fades and timer pictures are fussy with this camera. </p>
