Neutral plus restrained cool color and tonal looks. I know the moto is black but the rest puts me in mind of the search for not-black but restrained colors. Look brilliant with your coloring. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw---just-me---ladylike-done-irreverently#post-1353335 Thu, 11 Sep 2014 23:34:07 +0000 cheryle (Dianthus) 1353335@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I have been feeling off about fashion lately and I haven't been able to pinpoint why. &nbsp;Suz recommended a system to determine your style a while back and I found it very useful. &nbsp;I decided not to care and to wear what I wanted the last few days. &nbsp;I have gone with neutrals with color both days. &nbsp;</p> <p>Yesterday I wore a pair of loose fitting wider legged pants with a fine gauge sweater in cobalt and my navy Fly London ankle boots. &nbsp;It was plain jane but I felt pretty "me" in it so maybe plain jane is my personna.</p> <p>Today I decided to wear a skirt and pulled out one of the halogen seamed pencil skirts. &nbsp;I added a grey zara silk/cotton blend knit tank. &nbsp;So far, so good. &nbsp;I felt the neck needed something so grabbed a scarf with soft cool colors that picked up on the skirt. &nbsp;I was going to wear the grey gibson jacket from Janet but the colors of grey looked wrong together so I pulled out the black spiegel lemming moto. &nbsp;I added navy socks and my grey born booties and it felt like me.</p> <p>Here is my take on today.<br />The skirt is a ladylike pencil skirt that is shaped but not fitted and in a color but not a bright color.&nbsp; The shell is a quality fabric in a neutral color with a higher neckline. &nbsp;The scarf is soft and feminine as well. The booties are fairly sleek and neutral so also on the ladylike side.</p> <p>The irreverent part is the socks and moto which makes it me. &nbsp;I normally don't wear booties in this way because I don't like to shorten the legline but again decided pffft and wore whatever I wanted.<br /><span><br />I was comfortable with my choices but welcome feedback of all kinds. &nbsp;:) &nbsp;I think I may have found the key to my style - or not. &nbsp;LOL</span></p>
