But there are a few labs I work with who print on all kinds of alternate substrates: metal, canvas, vinyl products (good for water-and weather-proof applications), wood, acrylic... and they do all kinds of sizes, too. I will sometimes do a series of prints on metal when the subject matter suits them, to provide a little variety in how I exhibit work, particularly if a curator or gallery owner wants that. It is nice for potential clients to see how the work can translate into all kinds of spaces. This treatment looks modern and clean, and is popular with commercial design clients. But today I attended my first in-person art opening since last March. Crazy! It’s a big annual group show and I saw lots of friends, so it was such a joy to see people and art IRL again! </p> <p>It’s a hot one today and I was not sure how well the AC would be working, so I went with the loose jumpsuit that can go almost anywhere. If you saw my original post with this jumpsuit, I since decided to have it altered — I had the sides in the waist and torso taken in and the sleeves shortened. This helps rein in some of the excess volume, as I think I could have taken this a size smaller but it wasn’t available. </p> <p>Kept things simple with silver and abalone earrings, silver statement ring, reptile print sandals, and multicolored Aimee Kestenberg crossbody. </p> <p>Bonus snaps of my piece (photo 3) plus others from the exhibition. Lots of wonderful work! </p>
