Thanks everyone! That citron bag was my wildcard purchase of the summer/fall and it's been a workhorse. I posted that pic mostly to show I do wear things other than solid sweaters on occasion!

Windchime, thanks for your thoughts on the oversized sweater! The line between oversized/fluid and too big is a fine one, especially when you're petite.

Jackie, thanks! You always look fantastic in turtlenecks, so I appreciate you chiming in on #1.

Kelly, glad you think the leggings (even the skirted ones) work!

KL, I am finally feeling better, thanks!

Suz, streamlined is a great term for what I want, so thank you! And I love that shade of purple - it's a weakness of mine to snap up every piece I find it in.

Dee, simplicity suits you! These streamlined looks are all excellent on you. You look amazing in the purple sweaters in particular. I also like the sweater dress. I hope you are feeling a little better now. Flu is no fun.

I hope you're feeling better! I think they are all great looks. You look great in darker, richer colors. And your Marc Jacobs bag is the perfect touch of color.

Love all of these. You wear leggings/skinnies so well. Adore the skirted leggings on you too. You definitely got the fluid over fitted look down!

#6 is absolutely wonderful on you! I love the blingy sweater, the shoes, and your citron bag.

You wear jewel tones so well, such as in #1 and #4. Great boots in #1, too, and great asymmetrical hem on your dress in #4.

To my eye, the sweater in #3 doesn't look too big--just nice and drapey. But let's see what more trained eyes have to say.

Well, so much for my resolution to post more WIWs. I spent a good chuck of this month out with the flu, but here's what I have from the month of January.

1) My only traditional turtleneck (fitted in the neck and not oversized). Worn for casual workday. I haven't owned one of these since I was a kid, so I'm not sold on the look yet, but it was cozy. JCrew turtleneck and jeans, Timberland boots.

2) Weekend casual. On weekends, I've been wearing my leggings/jeggings almost exclusively. The sweater is asymmetric and angles toward one side in the front and the other toward the back. I wouldn't wear it to work, but for running errands around town, it was comfy and easy. EF sweater, Athleta jeggings, Timberland boots.

3) Worn to check out a museum with DH. This is probably the warmest, coziest sweater I own but I was wondering if I should have bought one size down? Loft sweater, AG jeans, Munro booties.

4) Sweater dresses and leggings are appropriate for work, so here's another cold day. Please ignore my dire need of a haircut - between the holidays and the flu, I was about a month overdue! EF sweater dress and Altheta leggings, Munro booties.

5) Worn for a weekend roadtrip to visit friends. I had about four hours of driving, so I wanted to be comfortable. JCrew sweater, EF skirted leggings (see how I snuck those in there?), Munro booties. Thoughts on the styling here after all the recent controversy?

And a bonus pic:
6) Right around the new year, DH and I went to visit my parents in Florida. Beautifil 80F/27C temperatures, so here is a picture surrounded by palm trees. Worn to walk around Downtown Disney. JCrew top and jeans, D'Orsay flats from Winners, Marc Jacobs bag.

Comments and suggestions on what works and what doesn't are welcome! I've been simplifying my wardrobe over the last year but trying to avoid boring.
