Your denim skirt is great, and I know how they can stand away from the body in a comfortable way (and not require a slip) when it's very hot out. In fact, I have one on now. ;)</p> <p>About the gapping, do you sew Astrid? I often sew up buttoned skirts most of the way so I don't have that problem. You could have a tailor do it too, of course. I sew the outer edge, along the original seam, leaving a slit at the bottom button (so it looks natural) and then stopping near the top so I can unbutton it enough to get it over my hips.
