It’s not as cool as the coasts, but not as hot as you describe either. Tonight after dark we got some of those rental electric scooters &amp; zipped up to Alex. There was a foreign food festival going on, which of course is silly in Berlin—there was nothing we can’t get any day of the week already. But we hung out and enjoyed the atmosphere, then scootered back home. And there are still people spending their time inside, reading and working. They're crazy, if you ask me. But these shoes work well in the heat, for a few hours at least. They’re really soft and lined in leather.</p> <p>I had a plumber here this morning and it took hours longer than expected, so I didn’t do much with my free day. At least I don’t have to pay all those hours myself (it’s a rental and a bit of a mess).
