The taupe looks great and works just fine with the cognac booties. I had that GAP sweater on my wish list earlier in the season but decided against it because I already have so much navy. Then I saw it in the store and was tempted to get it anyway because I liked the lightweight feel of it. I especially love how crisp and fresh the sweater in #3 looks (and the blue peacoat over it is wonderful too).
