And I know how it goes... I need a replacement for my old DSLR that is about seven years old. My everyday lens gave up on me and the other one I have (a prime lens) isn't usable for everyday stuff. I thought about getting a new lens, but the options in my budget weren't quite right. I want to have a camera I can use on the three week trip to Scotland, that's the reason why I'm doing SYC right now. I thought about getting a compact system camera, but then I could only afford the lens that usually comes with it and the temptation would be very high to spend more money on a different lens (or two...) later on. I don't want to spend that kind of money for camera stuff at the moment, so I thought I would get an enthusiast compact camera instead. But I'm still hesitating because I'm wondering whether I might not miss the option to change lenses after all... </p> <p>Thanks Shevia!</p> <p>Thanks Aida! It was great. I wore my denim jacket like a sweater most of the time, buttoned and with the sleeves rolled. I was fine temperature wise, although it was quite warm the few times the sun came out...</p> <p>And I took a detour on the way home and had another look at the Olympus XZ-2. I'm not able to take the plunge, but I'm going back to it again and again. </p>
