I like each of your outfits and think they achieve the right balance for your coloring. When I have gone back to look at myself in the outfits I wore, I tend to prefer those with color over neutrals. However, I don’t usually wear a full outfit of color unless I am wearing a dress. Sometimes when I put an outfit together and it doesn’t look quite right I try adding more contrast, less contrast or the same with color. I don’t usually change the silhouette. It can make a huge difference. Sharing a few, and what I've learned. Thanks for looking!</p> <p>1. This is a great learning for me as to how pedantic I can be about color: I would like this outfit IF my toenails were not painted red, or if I was wearing it with closed-toe shoes (the sudden resurgence of summer calls for sandals). Learning: try sticking to one color per outfit, including nails! I love these shorts and will make a point of wearing them more next year. Also need to keep navy/ink summer shoes on my list. Could probably use a necklace on this one.</p> <p>2. The bright pink top is enough for me. I like this outfit because I kept it uber-minimalist elsewhere. Learning: when a loud color speaks, don't interrupt it lol!</p> <p>3. A grub-bish outfit for helping a client sort through files in a dusty storage space. Functional; this shirt was in the 'out' pile as it's too floppy for my taste but it's actually a perfect work shirt and I like the contrast from the pattern, so it's staying.</p> <p>4. Love this one. The red scarf is softened just slightly by the ink floral pattern. Sadly I lost one of those fish-hook earrings that day boohoo.&nbsp;</p> <p>5. A boring outfit day, so I played with a bold lip. Was much brighter in person, but I liked it! Learning - when the outfit is uber-simple and neutral, use a pop of color on the lips as an accessory.</p> <p>6. A good base outfit that but I think it could have benefitted from a pop - next time will add a brighter lip or my red purse.</p> <p>Overall, I like this formula - either pop of color, or pop of contrast, with a simple silhouette </p>
