Maybe a dark brown or a dark wine/burgundy. I have dark hair too, and I've been wearing lighter outfits with lighter footwear, and something just feels "off." For me, I really need to integrate my hair into the outfit.</p> <p>I like the idea of stripes or some kind of pattern to add a little extra "movement" to the outfit since both items here are solids.</p> <p>About straw purses...I've been dying to get one for the longest time, but it's really tough to find the right one.&nbsp;So many of the larger ones are really gaudy and cheap looking, and the small cute ones just don't have much room. You also have to consider whether the straw is too rough, such that it will brush against your clothing and pill or snag it. Some of the purses are quite hard, and I don't relish the feeling of something banging on my hip while I walk (if it's a crossbody).&nbsp;</p> <p>I recently bought a couple of small straw bags that seem nice (finds below). The Nordstrom one has a hard case. It seems really well made. It's not too scratchy, but if you're wearing something delicate it might get snagged on the occasional piece of straw that sticks out. The Topshop one is made of a soft straw that doesn't look like it would snag anything. The Topshop one seems like it would hold *slightly* more than the Nordy's one, though both are small. I will probably keep the Topshop one since the small size of these bags means that for me they are a going-out bag only, and I don't ordinarily change my bags to go out.
