The necklace provides a nice 'finish' to the outfit. It can be hard to 'finish' an outfit in sweater season. I had considered giving a similar one as part of a gift that included a Neil deGrasse Tyson book a couple years ago, but reviews on that one said it wasn’t weighted properly, so Jupiter always pulled it out of alignment. He was correct!</p> <p>He love me a lovely seed pearl gold necklace this year -- too small and delicate to wear with heavy winter sweaters, so I can't bust it out yet. The Docs work well with wool socks in the current cold and slush, and make a change from my duck boots.</p> <p>Pic 3 is today- it thawed a bit, so the outfit is the most composed of this bunch. Pic 4 is a detail shot of the solar system necklace, which is a gift from my husband that I don’t often find occasion to wear. I feel it needs a plain top, which I don’t always wear a lot of. I’m a crazy top lady. However, this top is at least not a print, though has a trendy sleeve treatment. I don’t always like the balloon sleeves, but I’m this case I think the sturdier fabric makes them work better. </p> <p>Anyway, I love the necklace, even if I can’t always wear it. (Similar one in my find below - they can be found on Etsy and other places.)</p> <p>Pics 5&amp;6 are outfits from last week, when it was too cold to do anything but wear a warm pullover and boots. </p> <p>Pic 7 is me goofing around with my husband’s fedora. I was waiting for him to try on sport coats at Macy’s - hence all the menswear! </p>
