My considerable denim collection gets ignored from May throughout September, sadly. </p> <p>But yesterday it wasn’t crazy hot, and there was a nice breeze. I had an art event to attend last night (I’m on the leadership committee so always want to be a little more presentable than strictly casual, and the attendees range from curators and gallerists, to artists, architects, etc.), and I just walked to the venue from my studio. </p> <p>I pulled out these linen blend pants from a few years ago, worried they would be too tight. They fit, and they eased up more as the day went on, so they worked out ok. This is the closest I have gotten to wearing jeans in weeks, but these are much airier and cooler. I kind of wish I could find one more pair of pants in this same cut, but that’s a tall order. </p> <p>Just a simple black knit tank with it, that I purchased last month from a local boutique, but I like that it has a little “party in the back” detail. I absolutely hate photos of me from behind but this one is only slightly horrifying. </p> <p>Bonus of little miss Tippi, since I realized she was a sneaky little photobomb behind me. She’s recovering from a dental that included the removal of a bunch of teeth, so she’s still regaining her energy, but she’s healing nicely. She turns 13 in just a few weeks. </p>
