It is funny because the challenge helped me try to think outside of my usual default footwear and it is great that there is so much love for the oxfords with the blue dress, because they are the most comfortable shoes to wear. I will definitely wear them more often, as I must confess they sort of dropped off my radar over the last 6 months.</p> <p><b>Kellygirl </b>- after a week of wearing colour, I am kind of looking forward to wearing my dark neutrals. I initially thought it would be easy, but it is interesting to see how much I rely on my dark neutrals and how much I have enjoyed the effect when I replaced a neutral with a more interesting yet unexpected item. I have bought only one pair of sandals this summer and have rarely worn them, even on the hottest days. I do run cold and especially my feet, so surprisingly wearing boots even on the hottest days has been comfortable. I just wish they were easier to come by. </p> <p>Brooklyn, well most days I wore white boots so not particularly creative. I did like the mauve shoes with the red dress, which was a bit unexpected for me.</p> <p>Katerina, so glad you like the blue dress. I did not need another summer dress, but I fell in love with the colour and skirt on this dress. Also glad that the oxfords work with it too. </p> <p>Fashintern, the western boots are new. Not a true western boot, but provide a nod to the trend and given the light colour work well for me. I don’t have a picture of them side on, but they have a 5cm western style heel in wood. For me, no black jackets / capes or footwear has been the hardest part. Of course, being summer in Australia, the challenge is not too hard.</p> <p>I have tried to have no dark neutrals in my ensembles, just to make it a little more of a challenge.</p> <p><b>Sunday</b> - lemon top, floral skirt, white boots and cross body bag. I don't have much yellow in my wardrobe, but I do like to wear this top, this was an experiment into a new to me colour and I think this is a good yellow for me.</p> <p><b>Monday</b> - turquoise dress, cape jacket, white boots and lilac bag. I was being a bit lazy with this outfit which is one of my fallback outfits.</p> <p><b>Tuesday</b> - white faux leather dress, grey leather jacket and white western star boots (lilac bag worn with this). I love this dress which is very old, as it is so easy to wear and even has pockets.</p> <p><b>Wednesday</b> - blue dress, white jacket, red bag and red, white and blue oxford shoes. This outfit I would more likely wear with pumps, but I thought my oxford shoes were a fun colour match and very comfortable.</p> <p><b>Thursday</b> - Valentine's Day - Red dress, this dress is old but a favourite as I love the bow detail on the neck, Owl bag and pale lavender shoes. To change things up, I wore my hair up.&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <p>The midi blue dress and white western star boots are both new. Adding in more white boots is great, because I am constantly wearing my white booties at the moment. I was a little worried that they were a bit RATE for me, but I love them with denim.</p> <p>All comments and suggestions for improvements and different styling is much appreciated!</p> <p>I hope you have a great Valentine's Day with the people that you love! </p>
