I have a rare jeans day at work, but also need to go to my son's new school for an ice cream social to meet his new 1st grade teacher. It will also be an opportunity to see his new classroom and meet some of his classmates and their parents. </p> <p>After everyone's input (and actually trying the outfits on) I decided to go back to the basics for this one and keep it simple. Crisp white button down tucked into boot cuts with my animal print heels, cognac belt and chunky gold watch. Nothing terribly exciting but hopefully a simple, classic look that still looks modern and fashionable. Trying to hit a note of looking well put together yet approachable. What do you think - did I get it right?</p> <p>Also - yay or nay on the statement necklace? It tends to be a conversation piece, which might be nice for a conversation starter with new people. Or are the heels bold enough and I should leave off the necklace?</p> <p>Yay = wear the necklace too<br /> Nay = let the heels be the statement and leave off the extras </p>
