Our winters are nowadays much milder than yours -so I can wear 7/8 wool wide legs or cigarette pants(usually some neutral plaids or black pleather), midi pencils or tube skirts---all with various sweaters or layers (especially a finer long sleeve tee/knit top/long sleeve blouse with a furry/knit/quilted vest,&nbsp; sweater dresses and a long gillet etc. I still wear loafers and black sheers at the moment, but comes december will wear more opaques with booties and boots (lug sole or flatform are now my faves).
