I'm a volunteer at a nonprofit that runs a thrift store. Sometimes I'd look at something, and my friend would say, "My mother would wear that," and I'd put it back. Her mother has since died, but she was well into her 90s. I have to fight to keep from falling back into styles from 20 or 30 years ago.
