The boots are actually dark brown. I don't mind the contrast to the leg, but I can see that it doesn't show a lot of leg and that it might be more flattering if more skin were showing. I think it would work better for me if the booties were lower contrast with your legs (if the booties were lighter or if you were wearing dark hose) and if the dress was shorter. I do love the dress AND boots, they are both super flattering on you. I had to come show off my new booties . They are Doc Marten Viviana's that I got at Amazon Warehouse deals for $36! I am very in love with them. </p> <p>The dress is a brand called Glamour that I got at Beyond the Rack. I don't usually do animal print and especially not blue animal print but for some reason I was really drawn to this dress. </p> <p>I like the outfit a lot but I totally failed at putting on any jewelry. Its a busy dress so I don't think it's missed that much but I had intended to wear a simple necklace. </p> <p>I also have this dress in a black and white geometric print. Right now I'm looking for the right colorful summer scarf to go with that one. </p>
