I’ve learnee what to look for in a maxi dress. I got that one last year on sale from Anthro. The sandals are very comfy! I had to go down half a size, per Angie’s recommendation.<br /> They also don’t slide around at all, which is wonderful. </p> <p>Joyce and Kathie, thank you. Fortunately, those colors in the first top are some of my favorite colors. It feels like summer on some days, and late spring on others. </p> <p>-<br /> 1. This top has a tiny tear near the button placket, on the hem. I need to see if it’s worth fixing, as it’s a very fine fabric. I’ve only worn and washed it a couple of times, so the tear doesn’t bode well. I like having a lightweight too for the summer at work, to help deal with the heat outside and cold inside. </p> <p>I’m also always confused about tucking tops like this. I tried it both ways but I can never get it to stay, since I need to blouse the top out a bit after tucking (very short waist). Mostly I find it too much to fuss with, even if the proportion is better. Now I wish I’d taken pics both ways. Next time. </p> <p>2. This is today. New dress and new Earth sandals. </p> <p>3. One of the few maxi dresses I kept. It shows my ankles and doesn’t cling in the wrong places. I wore this to a Broadway matinee on a hot day, again to deal with temperature changes (added a cropped cardi indoors).</p> <p>4. Very similar to outfit 1. This is a FFBO for me (printed top and dark bottom). </p> <p>5. White jeans and navy top and long cardi (this is the Halogen lemming cardi)</p> <p>6. Different dress plus denim topper. Obviously another FFBO.</p> <p>7. Weekend look with kimono. </p>
