I really enjoyed wearing this today. I’m floored by how comfortable the pants are! Just a teensy bit of stretch, which helps them feel great. </p> <p>Thanks for the hair love too. I’m now over a month overdue for a haircut, and I was only able to schedule my next one for early December (!), so this morning I took the razor to the bangs and upper layers, and trimmed just a tiny bit off the ends to cut off any damage. I think I did a pretty decent job, considering! </p> <p>ANM, the vest is by Bailey Rose — I found it in a trendy boutique in Baltimore, and was surprised at how well it fit (it seems like a juniors brand, but as we all know, the styling makes all the difference!). I can’t find it online in a quick search but maybe you’ll have more luck than I did. </p> <p>I had to laugh when I first tried on the vest by itself over a short sleeved white tee and jeans — the effect was way too Schneider from One Day at a Time. (Yes, I am totally dating myself with that reference.) Definitely works better layered with another piece. I’m looking forward to playing with it more. </p> <p>SlimCat, the ring is a favorite, bought in Bisbee, Arizona last spring! I can’t remember the name of the stone now, but it is unusual — there is a bit of iridescence in the blue parts. So today I am debuting the vest along with my new plaid trousers. I’m dressing them down with a white tee, black cashmere zip hoodie, and white sneakers. The plaid in the pants has black, grey, light brown, and navy blue, so it’s an ideal mix of neutrals for me to play with. I added a navy crossbody bag to keep it neutral but pick up the blue in the pants.<br /> I’m enjoying wearing jeans again in fall, but these pants are a fun departure for me and just as comfy as jeans. </p> <p>This outfit feels very “me” and captures the balance of how I want to dress lately. Comments welcome! </p>
