Suz... I love the way you phrased that. I think I tend to wear the "sporty" look more often, because it's easy and safe. And boring (to me). I like the #2 look far more. Is "arty eclectic" a style term? I like it Does that mesh with the "casual" outfits I posted that I like.. I think you saw those too? That belt was such a great investment - I love it, have worn it a lot, and I feel it really ramps things up a notch.

Beth Ann - you have a good point about the volume of the pants with the jacket - something bothered me about that combo, and I think that's it. Yay.

Thanks also for the feed back about the scarf in 1 - I do look square don't I? I'm definitely a little squarer than I used to be...

Oh wow I love number 2 that colour is great on you and I love the belt with the large silver buckle. I quite like the last photo. I think 1 and 3 are a hairs breadth from perfection. The colours in 1 are great but I think the top gives your top half quite a square look. The outfit in 3 I think would work better with a shorter or more waist defining jacket )sorry I have a thing about waists).

Another vote for #2. This color is terrific on you, and the proportion is good, too. I like both the trousers and the jacket in #3, but I wonder if they fight each other a bit --- long and easy over volume. What about trying the b/w striped tee in you other post with the jacket and over some skinnies with boots? How about the pants with either a shorter jacket or sweater?

I really like #2 on you and am not surprised it hit your happiness factor! The distinctive accessories and column of colour are sophisticated.

It's interesting that 1 and 4 read a bit more casual/ sport, #2 is more arty eclectic, and #3 is more classic. Which direction do you think you'd like your style to go?

Thank you so much! Great feedback. I like this place. :)

It
s probably hard to tell in the photo, but the blouse I
m wearing in 3 has a fairly detailed neckline... a bit drapey, with silver stud like things along the edge. So I did struggle with accessorizing that - but Moira I think you've nailed it - a broach would be perfect. I even have one, that I haven't worn in years, that could really work. I wonder where it is....

I think the clothes are great. They fit well and look good. I believe it's the accessories that need to be kicked up a notch.
For example, that teal looks great in #1, but the white next to your face doesn't flatter you the same as the teal would.
Some silver accessories in # 4 would look really good, I think, in addition to just pushing up the sleeves to show off your arms a bit.
Some kind of a broach or even a flower on the jacket in # 3 would jazz it up.

Hi Elizabeth! You and your radiant skin sure rock jewel tones and red lipstick.

I think my faves here are #2 and #3. I like the pants in #3 - I think the only thing it is missing is a statement necklace, maybe?

In #1, the sweater is a beautiful colour, I am not crazy about the scarf... I wonder if a print or tying it more loosely so some of the sweater shows at the neckline would help?

As far as #4, I think the tee + cardi + pants formula is just fine! I wear jeans + tee + cardi + scarf pretty often. If you want to change it up, what about a shorter pendant that sits about halfway between the necklines of the shirt? Or a v-neck tee? Maybe a jacket instead of a cardigan? Or you could wear a neutral on top and coloured bottoms?

I love number two as well, It is perfect.. As for #1 I wonder if tying the scarf so it hung down longer might break up the square block of the sweater? #3 is a great neutral look, maybe a necklace to punch it up? I thinks #4 is good as is!

Sorry if I'm being a bit of a board hog... just wanted to get this stuff out there so I could let you all "know" me :)

Here are a few outfits that I've worn to work in the last few weeks. I like the second one (long pink cardigan) but the other ones feel a bit blah. And I'm not sure why. I think on #3 it's the pants... and #4 it's the neckline on the shirt. #4 is what I default to far too much... pants, t-shirt, and cardigan. So I need to either get over this, or figure out how to "step it up".

All thoughts welcome!
