Hence my constant vigilance for a good pair of boyfriend/straight leg jeans! And absolutely yes, a thicker but not stiff strap would definitely help the bag get more use. I actually started building this outfit from the ground up — I wanted to wear these boots and went from there. I ended up with a mix of moody plum-burgundy colors, pulled together with the McQueen scarf. The bright red is the most prominent color in the scarf, but I find it works well with this palette also once you look at the colors in the print. I tried to show the colors better in the closeup. </p> <p>The bag is not my favorite — it collapses in on itself a bit, and the strap is thin and I don’t always want a patterned strap so a guitar strap didn’t work for me with today’s outfit. But it’s my only burgundy bag and goes perfectly with enough outfits that I keep it. It’s also a good size for holding all my necessities. </p> <p>The jacket is a very dark and somewhat cool brown, which appears black in some light. </p> <p>Boots: Pikolonos<br /> Jeans: Pilcro/Anthro<br /> Plum tee with shoulder laces: Philanthropy (layered over a Uniqlo heat tech tee)<br /> Suede jacket: Bernardo, a crazy cheap $15 purchase from the Rack a couple of years ago<br /> Butterfly scarf: Alexander McQueen<br /> Bag: Sanctuary </p>
