I really like the way the denim plays against the flowers and the shoes look wonderful with it. </p> <p>Sorry they gave you blisters. It's weird how that can happen sometimes even with shoes you've already worn. I am a blister magnet in summer. The glide stuff helps, but I also carry a supply of those special blister bandages; those really help me. </p> <p>&nbsp;There are two kinds. One is the healing/after blister version and then there are sort of blister guard things you can put on to ward off the problem -- they are thinner and have real staying power even in humidity. I find them lifesavers. I guess because of my narrow heels, blisters on the back of my feet with closed shoes are sort of a given. And then my forefoot is just slightly on the wide side so when my feet swell in sandals, straps that are normally okay can irritate. Some fabbers might remember I bought this dress last year. I had it altered for better fit, but then it languished in my closet as the weather cooled and the opportunity to wear it didn't come up. I've always regarded it as a date night dress since the top is kind of bare, and the silhouette is a little bodycon. </p> <p>Well, today I got the idea to try playing with a vest to dress it down and de-bombshell it. I originally had sandals on, but decided I liked the vibe of these funky oxfords instead, even though the sandals are more conventionally flattering. Pic #3 shoes the dress without the vest. #4 is detail of the shoes.</p> <p>Dress: Bailey 44/Anthro<br /> Vest: Levi's<br /> Shoes: 80%20<br /> Quilted clutch: Topshop (Nordstrom)</p> <p>Oh, and I think I found my new tote! Pics 6-7. I've been searching for a good replacement for two not-perfect totes, and I tried the Rebecca Minkoff MAB but the handles were too stiff and short for my liking. Pic 5 shows the new tote on the left, and the two old ones on the right that it will replace.</p> <p>This Milly tote ticks all of my boxes: silver/metallic neutral; roomy yet light; comfortable straps; no bling or excess detailing; structured yet not overly stiff; and a nice wide base for ease of use. </p> <p> Bonus Sophie shot since she was by my side while I got ready today. :-)</p> <p>Thx for looking - comments &amp; suggestions always welcome. </p>
