Suz, yes, the dress is very easy to wear but I have to admit I dragged out the spanx to smooth out the hip area a bit.   Merwoman, I didn't want to make a fuss about my 50th birthday (two ago) so we did nothing.  He somehow thinks that wasn't right.  Silly man.   I do think the heavy boot helped with the skinny pant look.  I felt it balanced me out a bit.  Perhaps the lighter top helped too.  I will try other looks over the next few weeks and see how it goes.  It is an easy outfit to wear and works for our cold weather.  I prefer to not have to change shoes if I can figure out a way to keep warm in heavier non-winter boots. This one is brilliant on you and I am not surprised it won compliments. I do not think this outfit is seasonally confused in the least. The skin on your legs is echoed by the skin on your forearms. Now, you know, I am Queen Fusspot about seasonal confusion, so if I do not think there is a problem, there is no problem. And that is all there is to say. ;) #2 is equally sensational in my mind. I think the boots balance your light top perfectly. And they also bookend your hair. I can hardly see your bare legs because only a bit of your knee shows in pic 2. I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't mention it and even then I had to go back and use my eagle eye and a magnifying glass! Maybe I need readers on top of my bifocals! Okay, so I don't know much about OTK boots, but I like both of these!  cheryle (Dianthus) on "WIW - A bevy of boots (2 anyway)" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw---a-bevy-of-boots-2-anyway#post-1370785 Mon, 06 Oct 2014 22:10:44 +0000 cheryle (Dianthus) 1370785@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Thanks to all who tolerated my boot obsession over the weekend.  I have two outfits with boots.   I think I have been creating a challenge for Tony.  Apparently I am difficult to buy gifts for because I have everything I want.  I mentioned yesterday morning that I am thinking about getting a new camera and the next thing I knew we he had one picked out and ordered for pick-up.  It is wifi capable so I don't need to hook up cables to download pics.  Friday is the old camera and today is the new one.  Both have boots.  LOL #1/2 is from Friday.  I had at least 5 compliments at work on the dress and all from women.  I like the dress a lot and it is super comfy.  I might have looked a bit seasonally confused though since I had bare legs and tall boots.  I bought these tall boots last year and they are VERY comfortable.  The cobalt coat is my Sveta twin coat.   Dress: Kamalikulture Boots:  Sam Edelman Coat from winners. #3 today.  The general consensus was that these boots are not dated but outfits were requested.  I changed enough times that I was late for work.  I find it hard to find anything to wear with skinnies.  I love the color of these pants so I will try again.  My goal today was to add weight to the bottom with the boots to balance out the hip and shoulder.  Not sure it it worked. Sweater:  BR  faux leather front Pants:  Nygard skinny (I bought them before I researched the owner) Boots:  Miz Mooz that I've had for years. The boots have only been worn a few times.  They are a bit loose but I picked up a pair of heavy socks on the weekend and it worked.  They were very comfortable. So, hit or miss?  Suggestions always welcome. Sorry, hit poll by accident instead of blog.  Just ignore.
