I keep thinking how great I felt wearing this outfit yesterday, and I would say that there were two factors that contributed to my enjoyment of what I was wearing: 1)  Once it was on, I felt great - but I never really thought too much about my outfit again.   No fussing, no fidgeting, no re-arranging of twisted, or bunched fabric anywhere.  I just got on with my day.    2)  I feel like I (finally!) really figured out something important - I have several closet orphans that I have not been able to let go.   I love them, they make me happy to look at them, but I never feel quite at home in them.  Now I know why: because they have fussy details or over-the-top details or waaaaaaay dressy details.   So if I find something to ground the piece, and make it look just a little RATE, it makes me feel comfortable and happy, and I don't feel like I'm walking around in a costume.   So many of you have already figured that out (Annagybe and Alaskagirl are two who immediately come to mind), but seriously, I feel like Helen Keller probably felt when she figured out Anne Sullivan was spelling out w-a-t-e-r.   Angie on "WIW - 7/2 Celestial Skirt" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw---72-celestial-skirt#post-1294023 Thu, 03 Jul 2014 14:49:02 +0000 Angie 1294023@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Killer stunning skirt. I finally went to list the skirt on eBay a few weeks ago, and when I previewed my listing, I thought, "Nope.   I'm going to get it shortened, and I am keeping it.... and I am going to wear it if it kills me!" I took it to my seamstress last week and asked her to shorten it, and she refused.   She thought I should leave it as-is, so I did. Today, finally, I wore this skirt.   My happiness factor - like the pattern on the skirt - was out of this world! I have a few Cavalli pieces (all hunted down relentlessly on eBay), and they are all like this - sexy, quirky, imaginative.   This is definitely a brand I can get behind! 1-3:  How I styled the skirt:  Nine West Pumps, Express Cropped Sweater (Goodwill), Watch (Gift), Pearl Studs, Gianni Bini Patent Bag (Goodwill), Cap (from a boutique in North Carolina), Sunglasses (Guess, I think) 4-5:  Close-up of accessories 6-8:  Photos of the pattern of the skirt
