I'm sorry to hear it has a pilling habit. It looks wonderful with the trousers and booties. Is something rubbing against it that may be causing the pills? I recently noticed that one sweater with pilling was being kept on top of other sweaters in a drawer. When the drawer was opened and closed, it rubbed on the top of the sweater where the pilling was occurring. For me it is definitely a "top." &nbsp; Oh, and I also love to bookend this one&nbsp;with the Munro booties.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mine hasn't exactly pilled....but along the sides under the arms it has the look that sweaters...er, excuse me,&nbsp;<b>tops </b>get just <b>before</b> they pill.&nbsp;&nbsp;So I can tell it's&nbsp;an item that is not going to look pristine for more than a season. I thought that right away when I bought it, but I was so in love with the colours (and the price was also right) and felt I could use a fall-and-winter coloured&nbsp;lighter knit for transitional weather and under jackets, so I went with it anyway. I did feel a bit disappointed at how flimsy it seemed.&nbsp;</p> <p>I wash mine in the machine in a mesh bag in cold, on the delicate cycle, and hang it to dry. I figure I will get one more year of it this way. (they call it a sweater, but it isn't). I spent 20 minutes depilling this last night. I am not sure it will make it more than 1 year as it is getting a bit worn. I have handwashed it twice and laid it flat to dry, but maybe I am doing something wrong with it.</p> <p>Amber sun color blocked sweater (Angie pick), two layers underneath for warmth, British kahki trousers from Talbots, and Munro booties (also Angie's pick). Finished off with my Movodo watch. </p>
