Maybe black sunglasses?</p> <p>Isabel, thanks for asking about my brother. He summited Everest for the 3rd time in late May. He did it alone and without supplemental oxygen. He said, if he would have been with a larger group, he could not have done it without the Os, as the extra responsibility of being expedition leader as well as looking after less experienced climbers, would have been taxing and would have required the Os. Trivia fact: the cost of a tank of supplemental oxygen on Everest is around $1000 US (raw material plus sherpa transport). Some less experienced climbers go many cannisters to get to the top. My mom used to wear only heels; she would even do housework in heels. (very June Cleaver!) They didn't hurt her, but she was uncomfortable if she put on a pair of tennis shoes. I think after a while your achilles tendons shorten.<br /> For me (and I imagine for you, too) since I have to wear flat shoes every day for work, it's quite the transition to heels. I had a pair of 4-inch high platform clogs from Vince Camuto that scared me so much I had to let them go. I really thought I would hurt myself, and the foot pain was intense. I had to cling to my husband for dear life while walking from the car to the restaurant. I admire your ability to get through 4 hours in these! </p>
