But I wear blue denim a LOT, and blue is heavily featured in my wardrobe, as it's one of my best colors. Blue shoes seem to do a neat little trick of looking more intentional than the standard black, while also acting as a neutral. They function as neutral or as color depending on what I'm wearing.&nbsp;</p> <p>Jessikams, I would not say the Matisse booties are uncomfortable. The heel is not too high. I guess I'm just reaching for other shoes these days, even when I do wear a bit of a heel. Maybe I'm not as much of a leopard print person these days? Or maybe it's the slanted wedge heel that's not feeling quite so me lately. I did wear the red ones not too long ago with bootcuts, which really only showed the toes. I would describe my feet as slightly narrow, a moderate arch, and on the low-volume side, but not extremely so. My heels are narrow, so many pumps and flats slip right off my heels. Lace-up styles and higher vamps usually work better for me for that reason. Actually, before we had the closet redone, all my shoes were lined up on the floor, and on some racks that were shoved under my hanging clothes. It was much too easy to forget what I had. I LOVE that I can see everything now, and as a result, I tend to rotate my footwear more rather than default to the same shoes over and over because they are the ones I can see. I truly believe that good organization and being able to see everything really helps us get better use out of our stuff. It's also kind of an awkward space with deeply sloped ceilings, so a few years ago, as a Christmas present for us, I had a closet company come in and help figure out how to maximize the space. They put in this fantastic wooden shelving system, which really helps! But I'm really thankful for a good sized closet -- the last place we lived had a teeny-tiny closet so I had a rolling rack in a corner, hidden behind a shoji screen! And storage boxes for shoes. It was less than ideal. :-)&nbsp;</p> <p>The sneakers took a little adjustment to get them right for me, but that's not unusual -- I had to rework the laces on my rose gold sneakers last year to get them right, and they ended up being extremely comfortable! I have trouble with some of these styles being a bit too wide on my feet, so it can be tricky. Sometimes they shift too much on my heels or rub the top of my feet. I wear no-show socks from Stance underneath, which also helps alleviate the foot sweat problem in summer. So, considering I gave the blue sneakers a serious workout on the first day, I'd have to say they are pretty comfortable.
