Basic black pants will take more effort to look special. But there is also nothing wrong with loving the skirts and dresses you wear so well, and if you find them easier too... run with it! I find figuring out hose and appropriate cold weather footwear for dresses more challenging than pants, so I'm personally fine with pants in the winter and tons of dresses with sandals in the summer. I agree that skirts and dresses are your best look, but there are days when pants are necessary either practically or psychologically. Sometimes your pants outfits are very dark. I think you shine in the soft, pretty colors that you so often wear in your skirt or dress outfits.
