Hmmm. Here's an idea, if you dare. Go for the fitting...but don't buy anything. Say you need some time to think it over. UNLESS, that is, you find the absolute perfect bra and trust the salesperson absolutely—that could happen and you could find yourself telling her your situation, and she might have some totally excellent solution that would not occur to any of us, in which case, give her the business, I say!

Otherwise, just go on your merry way and then search for the best bras of the lot online or at Winner's or wherever you go for discount goods.

Online there are some pretty good sites that explain how to measure yourself properly. Common wisdom is that women tend to buy too large a band size/too small a cup size, but it sounds as if you have tried to deal with that possibility to no avail. And that is probably why stretch styles appeal to you now.

I completely understand not wanting to lay out a lot of money for something you hope you won't be wearing for very long. Ideally, whatever you get could shrink (at least to some extent) along with you. It makes sense. And it is possible with your size that a stretchy style would be just fine for this interim period. I just think you can probably do as well, or better, without ordering the packaged set.

Thanks everyone for the unanimous "garbage" vote -- I needed a good dose of reality. I think the RGB flicker of the TV was hypnotizing my eyes!!!

@Suz: I used to be a pretty average 34B but these don't fit so well now. I have gained about 4" in my bust but the 34C's and 36B's don't seem to fit either (usually too loose). I have gained 60 pounds rather suddenly due to meds, and I hope to lose it all again over time. My sports bra definitely doesn't fit, it's a stretchy type but quite supportive for activity for a smaller bust.

I never did like bra shopping but I faithfully went at least once or twice a year and purchased reasonable quality stuff (usually at the Bay's sales in summer, thanks Suz. The Bay is the Canadian equivalent of Macy's). But now It seems like even more of a chore b/c nothing fits right. I was considering a fitting but I don't want to pay a lot for a couple of bras right now. One thing I can't stand is a lingerie drawer full of unused stuff -- and yes Maya, I do buy new underwear!

if you have a need for any support whatsoever, these bras will do nothin' at all. i agree - get real bras for cheap at TJMaxx......you can also find very good prices on good bras thru e-bay (i just got a couple of Fantasie brand bras which retail for $80 ea. for $30 ea. there - check the history of your seller to be confident).

just get one bra in your new size if you think you'll be changing sizes soon. a nude color tee-type bra should see you thru most situations. good luck! steph

I'm afraid I have to agree with the other ladies who've already posted - these seem like nothing more than cheap low-support sports bras. If you want this style you'd probably do better getting an actual sports bra which would have stronger support.

I agree with Scarlet - if you are worried about your size changing in the near future, I'd go for some cheaper REAL bras. You can often get decent bras for pretty cheap at places like TJ Maxx.

Rosee, are you in the process of losing weight? (I am sorry if you already told me this; still new and getting to know and remember people.)

And, if this is not too personal, what size and shape are your girls?

It seems to me that these could work okay for someone on the smaller side. But they wouldn't be the most flattering/supportive. As an interim solution until ready to buy better quality lingerie they might be good. But I don't see how they are any different from the ELITA bras you could buy at the Bay for the same price, or other similar ones. Bras often go on sale in late June or July so you might be able to get better ones for a similar price.

After my weight loss I went for a proper bra fitting at a specialty store; probably the first since I was a teen, I am embarrassed to say. I ended up spending a lot of money on new bras. For the first week, I felt terrible about the expense. But since then, I have been SO HAPPY that I laid out that cash! These bras are a revelation to me! Comfortable in a way my bras have never been comfortable (I barely notice when I am wearing them); flattering in a way my bras were never flattering, and also pretty (even though I didn't buy fancy styles.) It was so worth it! Also, now I know what brands and styles tend to work for me and can order online if I can find a cheaper price. So useful.

I think these are good for sleeping, recovering from surgery, and light exercise if you don't need a lot of support. Maybe just buy some cheap regular bras for now that you know won't last long anyway.

These make me scream. They give no shape or support whatsoever and the sizing scheme is laughable. The price, coupled fact that they are an infomercial product, just seals the deal for me. $60 for garbage. I'd rather spend twice that much for quality, size changes or not.

Everyone changes bra sizes. It would be like saying "I don't want to buy new underwear."

Ok... I have to admit the infomercial got to me and I had to go check out the website. I am considering a purchase, but is it really worth it?

http://www.geniebra.com/index.php

My current bras are not fitting properly but I don't want to go purchase new ones if I keep changing sizes. I like the idea behind this bra but I hate succumbing to infomercials -- I feel like a sucker.
You get 3 or 6 bras in total for about $60 -- haven't checked S&H yet though. Problem is you MUST get a set with nude + black + white, or 2 of each if you want the "exclusive offer" (that never seems to run out). I don't really want white, but I'll take it if I have to. It makes me wonder if a $10 bra is actually good or just plain (pardon my language)... crap. I don't want to purchase 6 pieces of junk that I just have to get rid of later. I'm hoping something like this will work. They obviously DO look flattering on the TV models.

Has anybody tried it? Or any of the similar bras that are advertised lately?
