I walk a lot in the dark and I am terrified of going out without something because I have been driving and had near misses. I've also seen other drivers hit or nearly hit pedestrians. Nodding with Jules -- here, runner and cyclists are usually more mindful and put on reflective gear but people out walking often fail to do so and it is insane!&nbsp;</p> <p>I have a white coat (with reflectors), a reflective belt (for when not wearing that coat) and I'm eager to get a few vests, too. Sometimes Zara does very long pant lengths (perfect for me) but these are more normal, I'd say. Love the combo of new and old on-trend items.</p> <p>Someone local to me here in Toronto but originally from Finland explained that Nordic pedestrians are very aware of their nighttime visibility while walking and dress accordingly. I am afraid that here most people are in black coats and almost invisible. Outdoor runners will usually have some reflective strips. Thought it would be amusing and of interest to add what I spent on each garment.</p> <p>I recently let go of my car, for financial reasons, and have started commuting to work. That means a bus ride and a brisk walk, and this is exactly what I wore at arrival at work today. </p> <p>The outfit did it's job at keeping me warm and cozy, and I felt reasonable good in it.<br /> Win!</p> <p>1 Euro = about 1 USD</p> <p>- Vintage 70s coat. Bought for 80 euros, would have been at least 1000 euros new.</p> <p>- thrifted faux leather H&amp;M tote. Surprisingly good quality. Bought for 5 euros, would have been 30 euros new.</p> <p>- brand new zara parachute pants. 60 euros. Could have waited 2 weeks and bought them at 30% discount at the sale, grumble grumble. </p> <p>- wool knit sweater. Bought for 50 euros on sale. </p> <p>- accessories and shoes: old and gifted and self-made.</p> <p>Thanks for looking! </p>
