And I do believe the tote will prove valuable. But let me tell you why it became an instant workhorse for me so you can take that into consideration.&nbsp;</p> <p>I worried that I wouldn't use it because I already have two great totes from Danier.&nbsp;</p> <p>BUT...it is lighter than those totes, and waterproof. So I use it on days when I will be schlepping stuff to school in all weathers.&nbsp;</p> <p>I worried that it is too "unconstructed" and doesn't look "finished" enough.&nbsp;</p> <p>BUT...this can be an advantage if you really have a lot of stuff to carry. I went on an overnight and used it as my overnight bag -- fitting a dress, PJs, shoes, a clutch, my wallet, my computer, my toiletries, and an extra jacket into the bag without any problems at all!! So, while it is true that I do not care for the look of it as much when it isn't full (it sort of collapses in on itself, and I like a structured bag) the practicality makes up for that.&nbsp;</p> <p>I think it will be a winter godsend for walking about. No worry about slush splashing it. I found the sizing very confusing. In the end I think that the long handle pliage does not come in a medium - just a small and a large. I could be wrong.<br />I order the gunmetal long handled in large. I definitely think file folders would fit in there. This is the one at Nordstroms. I replaced quite a few essentials and really reflected on what I wear versus my fantasy lifestyle. I ended up with lots of black and grey but that is fine as I have lots of tops, scarves etc with colour. I also still have my pink parka! I did buy a cranberry sweater but it vanished to my teen girls who have been enjoying it! <ul> <li>Calvin klein down parka - a serious coat for hockey arenas and dog walking</li> <li>Angora topper - this was a huge hole in my wardrobe. It likely won't get loads of wear but it is essential</li> <li>Josef Siebel short winter boots - divine.</li> <li>Tall leather boots</li> <li>Kensie casual dress. Fantastic and can be worn with skinnies and leggings</li> <li>Lulu scarf</li> <li>Gunmetal tote</li> <li>Cardigan - this is so much nicer in person.</li> </ul>
