I could barely lace them up; not sure if the laces were too short or if the tongue and top were just too stiff. They felt very heavy, stiff and uncomfortable where the tongue of the shoe hit the top of my feet. And no arch support or cushion. When I put my hand inside to see if the sole was removable a piece of it just broke right off in my fingers. Uh-oh. The leather is so soft and the lining looks like it would be very warm. It is fully lined except for at the heel. Unfortunately, they are a little narrow across the ball of the foot and despite the shearling footbed don’t have the ‘cush’ I was looking for. I am so disappointed! I tried the fleece lined Converse and Timberlands, and they are very cute on others, but they are just not me.</p> <p>My feet are low volume, but wide across the toes (hereditary bunion coming) and a narrow'ish heel. I generally wear a 7.5 or 8 in US women's, sometimes sizing up to get width across the toe box.&nbsp; I bought these in a 7.5 and wear them with thick socks usually with jeans tucked in.&nbsp; The laces are adjustable so I would guess they would accommodate a variety of feet widths.
