I'll wear the peach cardigan one out of the house, yay!

Gigi - yes in full daylight (not my somewhat shadowed house), the layered sweaters were a little busy visually, and got pretty warm when I wasn't walking around outside. Also matching navys showed that the cardigan wasn't quite the right shade as the leggings, so something has to switch out. I might try something similar with a longish top instead of a sweater as the under layer.

I like them all, including your footwear choices. I think my favorite is the last outfit with the lace up boots.

Some really nice outfits here! I think the shoe choices are good, but I will also freely admit that I'm not a huge shoe person...so others' comments might be worth more here.

I was not as excited about the outfits where the purple sweaters are layered with the dark cardis. I feel like there are too many lines moving in different directions or something...maybe too busy? The other ones seem easier for my brain to process, I guess!

Rather than suggestions I will pick a favorite - the one with the peach sweater in the middle of the second picture!

I like them all too! I might consider adding a chunkier shoe to the 2nd outfit in the 1st pic to balance out the dark cardi, but it looks good the way it is too. Your lace up knee highs are gorgeous!

I like the proportions on all of them actually. Footwear with navy is pretty open - in addition to black, brown and grey work, and with a more monochromatic navy look, green or red footwear are a nice addition. I'm always on the lookout for blue or navy footwear - they are more common just now than they have ever been (figures, since I am more unemployed now than I have ever been ...).

I think all of them work! The shoes can be switched for tall boots too in pic 1. My absolute favorite is peach and navy combo. Just lovely on you.

And I love your skirt!

How do you categorize What I Might Wear? (although some of these have left the house, others are part of the brainstorming process)

Anyway, playing with navy as a neutral some more, and pairing sweaters with skirts.

1) I liked the slightly rounded/pear shaped bottom of this sweater and I bought it recently because I realized I had no lavender (and wanted to try out the lavender/gray/black combo). I decided to layer the cardigan on top because I thought it might make an interesting graphic shape. Not so sure about what shoes to wear with this.

2) The graphic shape in #1 led to these further experiments with layering sweaters.

-navy gauzy skirt - converse/target, lavender sweater - macy's style & co, navy cardigan - h&m, purple sweater - design history/marshalls, peach cardigan - old navy, gray/blue sweater - BCBG/ross

Any shoe ideas? Tweaks or improvements? Things not working? Favorite?
