Disposable plastic groc bags are pricey at the checkout, but my main motivation is being green; even if the plastic bags were free I would prefer reusable.</p> <p>I made these with upcycliing in mind - I had heavy weight cotton fabric remnants and wanted to convert them into something useful. I'll probably use them as beach/pool/park bags rather than groceries. I added a lining so that the bags are reversible. The blue and red bag is an Ikea offcut (I was auditioning it for childrens curtains in our last house) lined with a bedsheet offcut (the sheet was very stiff and never got used). The pink bag is made from vintage John Kaldor fabric pieces left over from projects in the 80s. </p> <p>A happy Easter, everyone! </p>
