Unfortunately, the only way to know whether the size down will work is to try it. Even if it is a stretchy blend (which it is), you might find that it is too tight for your liking. Or you may find that it is just right. You just have to try.

When I first joined YLF, it was said do not buy over 2% elastane. I have stuck to that advice and that of not putting things with any elastane in the dryer. So far that advice has worked although fabric with elastane does tend to stretch on wearing.

For my experience "fit perfectly" in jeans could mean the jeans aren't tight enough for the right fit. The fit should be a bit tight - hugging you in all the places ( including waist ). The fabric will stretch from movement and the body heat.

I find any more than 2% elastine stretches out. Not sure when there is polyester in the mix too.

Hi everyone,
I just bought a pair of high waisted skinny jeans in my usual size.
They fit perfectly in my legs but they are loose around the waist. I am wondering if I should keep them since they fit in the legs and the waist isn't too baggy. Or go down a size if the denim will stretch out in the legs. They are 70% cotton, 25% polyester, 5% elastane. Is that a stretchy blend?
