I do love the side split. I think they will look fantastic just a bit shorter - 2 inches above the ankle is my guess. But pin and try first.

YUMMY. How elegant and fashionable, Jane.

Shorten 3 to 4 inches and you should be good.

Thank you Sveta, I will pin at 4 inches and have another think. Thank you Cins, if / when I take the table off and shorten, that is a very good steer on the shoes.

I am also having a wide leg pant dilemma, so have been thinking about this a lot. I think your instincts are right, shorten a couple of inches to show your ankles, think tea length in a dress or a little longer than tea length. Although I think the shoes will look good with the shortening,, you may also want to think about a higher vamp shoe, boogie, or strappy sandals to "close the gap" as Angie says. I bought a pair of wide leg lighter weight denim crop pants at Target and am mulling shortening, but they look good enough with pale leather sneaks and black flat lace ups. Very hard to find, but I think the key in wider leg pants for this season is light weight. Heavy denim does not have the movement they need, especially for the shorter version, culottes.

I think they have potential but need to be shorter. Try to pin them 4in above the ankle and take another picture with that length.

I would be most grateful for your views in respect of these Karen Millen pants and how much to shorten.

The fabric is a light weight polyester, which flows and moves. I would wear for work, with heels and with black fishnet. I will largely be wearing a neat short black jacket with revere collar, which will balance out my curves. They look very heavy in the photos, and I am pear shaped. I do like them, but I am kind of worried that I may be looking at them in the wrong way. The camera isn't at the best angle either.

There is a slit on the leg, and I know that when I shorten this will be reduced. Because the fabric drapes well, and with the slit, I was thinking that they were good on me, but I am worried now seeing the photos.

So, may be my question is, are these okay and then if that is yes, I was thinking that I shorten two inches or may be three inches?

Thank you for looking and for your comments.
