I think you have a wide variety of shoe choices depending on the look you're going for and your leg length. I have trouble with most heels so I wear mine with a small wedge sandal in summer or AGL flats. They have just enough height in the shaft to close the gap and the lacing means they fit nice and slim at the ankle. I don't love loose/slouchy boots under a wide leg. </p> <p>I also do lower cut shoes, such as oxfords, and add a pair of low-contrast patterned or textured socks. So I prefer wide legs with a nice long-shaft boot underneath. Looks great when it works, but of course it depends on the boots and the pants— sometimes the fabric snags on boot belt buckles or embellishments. I am 5'7" and NOT delicate of bone.
