Good finds for you!

T shirts are kind of both no- buy and buy attitudes. No- buy because I have had poor self- control and brought home poor choices, or maybe was disappointed by how they held up.
I am still wearing some ancient Eddie Bauer T’s and felt some newer models did not seem as good. Also have wonderfully smooth Pima cotton tops from Talbots and JJill from years past and not convinced by some newer ones.
Plus I now want only very specific colors and shade or depth of color rather than buying “ almost” colors.
So I am trying to keep eye out for right ones, and sit on hands if not.

Yes, of course, I always do.I generally like to go shopping and always take at least 2 t-shirts with me due to the fact that I have a very playful and mischievous pug at home.I remember ordering things from thouartmine.com so I might disappoint you, mom left a bag on the couch, and when I got home, all I saw were pieces of my t-shirts scattered all over the room. This dog has already torn and eaten a bunch of t-shirts.But the veterinarian says that this breed of dog digests everything and has no stomach problems left. But we immediately realized that you can not leave any thing unattended.

I like that plummy colored shirt.

I love the t shirts from Universal Standard. I think they are top notch quality. I wish they came in a broader selection of colors.

I do often duplicate great tees. At this point in my life, I can't deal with poor fabrications that stretch in all the wrong ways, of with unflattering lengths or necklines. I'm also picky about which silhouettes I choose for the best proportions in an outfit, so I duplicate to avoid a "the right shirt is in the laundry" situation!

I love Loft, although I've learned that their fit and the quality of their fabrication is all over the place ---- I leave a lot of items on the rack, but the things that come home with me often become workhorses.

I second the Loft long sleeve tee shirts and have more than three to be honest. They also do a nice substantial lace tee in the fall/winter.

I duplicated right off the bat on Madewell V-neck tees last fall, and I’m happy I did. They are a critical basic for me in summer especially, and the colors are all useful. I say when you find a good tee, stock up!

Great review, Gretchen. I often buy duplicates of T-shirts when I find a winner. T-shirts are my first layer so I am always running out. If I found the perfect pair of jeans I would duplicate them.

Gretchen, those are lovely colors. I seldom wear tee shirts but I do have several Target cotton tanks that I wear under everything. They are a good length on me. I have unconsciously duplicated some EF linen knit sweaters in different colors and hope it will warm up enough soon to wear them. If I found a great cashmere sweater, I would probably duplicate or triplicate it in black, white, grey and navy ( I guess that is quadruplicate).

Gretchen -- When I find my tee shirt, I will certainly triplicate. I just haven't found mine yet.

The finds you show are lovely and I am certainly tempted, but I swore off all shirts that exposed bra straps.

Me too! Uniqlo 3/4 sleeve t-shirts (bought 3 black, 2 light grey - down to 3 currently), Uniqlo lace tank (1 steel blue, 1 navy), Armor Lux mariner (1 cream with steel blue stripes, 1 navy with white stripes), Denver Hayes slouchey cotton sweaters (1 white with navy flecks, 1 maroon), George shorts (1 navy, 1 olive). All these items were bought in multiples at time of purchase. I've got 3 pair of Converse sneakers, 3 pair Calvin Klein high rise ankle 'jeans', and 2 LePliage bags - but they were collected over time.

This represents about 1/4 of my closet and are foundations of my style.

Me! I tripled and more when it comes to the BR washable merino pullovers. I wear those fall/winter and early spring. I also triplicated or more the BR linen tees from a couple of years ago. They are still going strong (but they don't get as much wear as the merino pullovers.) Those are strictly summer.

These kind of basic tops that check off all the boxes are tough to find so why not stock up when you find the perfect fit and have the closet space. Enjoy!

I needed to replace some very worn lounge wear, and also needed to refresh my solid t-shirts. I found some winners and wanted to share.

Long sleeve - Loft Long sleeve shirttail tee. These are slouchy-sized - long, and the scoop neck is wide (fits more like the purple in Finds in my standard size). Perfect for loungewear, but would need to size down if you want more of a layering piece.

Short sleeve - WHBM ultra luxe soft tee. Nicely polished, a lighter weight than Boden's cotton t-shirts (my other go to) so will be a better fit for casual work day layering. They are a little longer than I typically wear, so will need to play getting the tuck right. And all in my happy colors!

I don't typically buy tops in multiples, but in this case I'm happy to have these wardrobe holes filled. Anyone else buy 2-3 of the same top at once?
