I no longer like the idea of pants that don't stretch and move with you. </p> <p>Abc, ponte is fantastic and I love it for ALL kinds of pants, leggings and skirts. However, prefer it as a casual everyday wear fabric. Formals look best in woven fabrics as they have more structure and look crisp (in my opinion). Yet, believe me, there ARE more subdued Indian weddings (like my own) where the focus is on the wedding; not the opulence. Even then, these weddings are definitely more lavish than western wedding. But the wedding my friend is going to is HARDCORE conventional. It's so conventional that inauspicious colors aren't allowed, sleeveless or backless is not allowed....it's very very very traditional and grand. They are meant to be worn with long ethic kurtis (or long tunics that are below the knee length) but I decided to pair mine with cosy sweaters and jackets for casual wear :P</p> <p>#1-3: Navy blue pants worn with a pink sweater and then a brown jackets (it's what I pulled out of my closet for a quick try on) </p> <p>#4-6: Grey pants with navy blue sweater. The pants were swishing around so I had to add more photos! </p> <p>#7: What I wore to go shopping. This one is a 'uniform'. I carried a white &amp; black hamdbag with the outfit. </p> <p>Thanks for looking! </p>
